EXEMPLIFYING THE VALUES THAT ARE ENCOURAGED AT THE SOUND SCHOOL. THE ROWING TEAM COMPETED IN THE CONNECTICUT INDOOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIP AGAINST INDIVIDUALS FROM THROUGHOUT THE NEW ENGLAND REGION. There were 192 competitors from 20 clubs 16 cities and 6 states. The Sound School rowers placed pride over pain, selflessness over self and an amazing support for each other. Aldis Berezowskji and Juliana Krizan showed skill and determination as both completed the grueling 2000m distance with very competitive times.

Sergio Gonzalez, and Dom Fusaro finished  with the exact same times, placing them well ahead of some very experienced rowers. Relatively new to the sport and showing great strength and endurance Max Dymetrek did a phenomenal job by finishing in the top third of a field of 56 rowers with a time of  7 min and  14 seconds. Adam Hejmowski also did exceptionally well  showing great form and an impressively strong finish placing him in the top half of his age group. Zach Leclair felt that 2000m wasn’t enough of a challenge and so he rowed another 2000m and beat his first race time, if you might wonder how difficult that is I encourage you to attend a practice and try a 2000m row.  Dan Jenetopolus rowing against much stiffer competition was impressive in his determination and his overall performance, but most inspiring was his constant support of everyone on the team.

Students and staff should all be proud of the Indoor rowing team, they represented, and represented exceptionally well.
