The FFA – Student Enterprise Group has the following IMPORTANT Announcements1) Attention Entreprenuers – The FFA – Student Enterprise Group is accepting applications for those interested in attending workshops offered by The Yale Entreprenuerial Society (YES). These workshops will meet on Yale’s Campus and transportation will be provided. This is an exciting program and all motivated students are encouraged to fill out an application. The application deadline is this Friday. SOE hours are available and this will stand out on college applications.3) Are you good at taking care of salt water aquariums? The FFA – Student Enterprise Group has a newly created opening for someone to start up and maintain a coral propagation tank within the School Store in addition to generating sales. The ideal candidate will have a good working relationship with the Fish Production Lab, basic saltwater aquarium knowledge, basic internet knowledge, a willingness to sell product via Aquabay and Ebay and strong customer service skills. This is a hands on, sky is the limit opportuntiy. SOE hours available – To get more info and get involved please see Steve Joseph.5) Valentines Day – Be sure you don’t miss out. Place your order for the Valentine’s Day roses in advance. We are teamimg up with The Ag program to offeri individually wrapped roses and a card. They can be delivered to someone someone for $2 per rose. In addition, Michelle Sheehan is running a Valentine’s Day Raffle, tickets are $1 each.6) We are always looking for new students to get involved in the FFA – Sound School Enterprise Group. Any student who is interested in earning SOE hours as well as being part of a winning program are strongly encouraged to check us out. Our mission can be summed up by saying – Learning To Do – Doing To Learn – Earning To Live – Living To Serve.7) Lastly, Attention Teachers – The FFA – Student Enterprise Group would like to offer assistance in helping you raise money for your FFA chapter or for your summer programs…..if interested please see Steve Joseph.Attention members of the sailing team: Yesterday’s meeting has been postponed until TODAY after school. So all JY sailing team members must come to the meeting after school TODAY in the library classroom. We will be handing out the competition schedule and making plans for the spring. If there is really no way you can make it please contact John or Michele. For other members of the sailing club who have signed up for Sharpie Maintenance for Tuesdays and Thursdays please report to the Thomas Boat Shop as usual.
Seniors…If you plan to go to College in the fall, now is the time for you to begin working on your college financial aid application (FAFSA). On SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH, 2008 at 1:30pm. volunteers from Ct. college financial aid offices and community agencies will be available at Gateway Comm. College (Long Wharf).
